Rock 12 Distillery
WineriesFarm-to-glass distillery and tasting room on Highway 246 in the Santa Rita Hills — small-batch vodka, gin, and brandy distilled from Santa Barbara County fruit, with spirit flights and seasonal craft cocktails.
About this place
Rock 12 Distillery began in 2016, when Sarah and Marko Suput bought a working llama farm along the Santa Rita Hills wine trail and set out to build something the region had never seen: a farm-to-glass distillery. Marko grew up around the craft — his family has distilled spirits in Southeast Europe for generations — and the heart of the operation is a small-batch, open-fire copper kettle hand-built by a master craftsman in Serbia. The core lineup is vodka, gin, and brandy made from Santa Barbara County fruit, and it branches out into bottlings like apple brandy, quince and coffee liqueurs, a serrano-flavored vodka, and the house Victus Amaro. The tasting room, opened in the winter of 2023, pours spirit flights and seasonal craft cocktails with the rolling hills of wine country right behind the bar. You'll find them at 6605 CA-246, a short drive east of Lompoc among the Sta. Rita Hills vineyards. The tasting room is dog friendly, and outside food is welcome.
