Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lompoc Locals (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

Description of Service

Lompoc Locals is a local business directory and promotions platform serving Lompoc, California and the surrounding Lompoc Valley. The Site allows local businesses to post coupons, specials, and announcements, and allows community members to browse deals, view a business map, and subscribe to a weekly email digest.

Account Registration

To access certain features you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update that information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@lompoclocals.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription plans for business accounts:

Free — Basic listing at no charge; includes profile page, map pin, hours, and contact info.
Growth ($39.99/month) — Enhanced listing with up to 5 active deals & announcements, priority placement, and analytics.
Plus ($99.99/month) — All Growth features plus featured homepage placement, social media links, and property/hotel listings.

Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are at our discretion and will generally not be issued for partial months, except where required by law.

User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you post on Lompoc Locals (deal descriptions, photos, business information, etc.). By posting content, you grant Lompoc Locals a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Site. You represent that your content is accurate, lawful, and related to your business in the Lompoc area. We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Post spam, misleading promotions, or content unrelated to your Lompoc business
Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the Site without our written consent
Post illegal content, including content that infringes intellectual property rights
Impersonate another business, person, or entity
Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security or access controls
Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation

Business Listings

Business listings on Lompoc Locals must represent legitimate businesses operating within the Lompoc Valley, including ZIP codes 93436, 93437, and 93438. Listings that are fraudulent, inactive, or outside our service area may be removed without notice. We reserve the right to approve or reject any listing at our sole discretion.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site created by Lompoc Locals — including designs, logos, code, and editorial text — is owned by or licensed to Lompoc Locals and may not be copied or used without permission. User-generated content remains the property of the respective users.

Disclaimers

The Site and all content are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, the accuracy or completeness of business listings, or that specific results will be achieved by using the Site.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Lompoc Locals and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site. In any event, our aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amounts you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $200.00.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms other users, third parties, or our business interests. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Barbara County, California. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or by displaying a prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of Lompoc Locals after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
