Dierberg Vineyard is stewarded by second-generation family growers, siblings Ellen Dierberg-Milne and Michael Dierberg. Their dramatic hillside Drum Canyon Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation produces single-vineyard, sustainably farmed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay under the winemaking direction of Tyler Thomas, with ocean-cooled slopes giving the wines clarity and precision. The Drum Canyon Estate tasting room at 1280 Drum Canyon Road is open seven days a week, 11am-5pm (closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day), with a family- and pet-friendly patio. The $35 Estates flight pours five wines, spanning Burgundy-inspired Chardonnay and Pinot Noir plus Bordeaux varietals from the family's Star Lane Estate Vineyard; private tastings include library pours such as the Ty Pinot Noir.
