Small-production Sta. Rita Hills winery from Rajat Parr and Sashi Moorman, pouring native-yeast Chardonnay and Pinot Noir at its Lompoc cellar.
Sandhi is a small-production winery founded by sommelier Rajat Parr and winemaker Sashi Moorman, whose partnership began in 2004. It sources Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from historic sites along Santa Rosa Road in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA — including Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, first planted in 1971 — and works with native yeasts, making no additions or subtractions in the cellar. The 2023 vintage marked Sandhi's 20th year crafting Sanford & Benedict Chardonnay. Tastings at the Lompoc cellar on East Chestnut Avenue include Au Comptoir, a café-style counter flight ($40, 60 minutes), and the Sandhi Vineyard & Cellar Experience, which pairs a tour through the Romance vineyard with an in-depth tasting ($75, 90–120 minutes); reservations are booked through Tock. Sandhi also partners with White Buffalo Land Trust and pours at Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance events like Wine & Fire.
