Spencer's Fresh Market Is Now Open on North H Street
The family-run Central Coast grocer opened its third store Wednesday at 1009 North H St — deli counter, local produce, and weekend tri-tip included.
The north side of Lompoc finally has a new place to buy groceries. Spencer's Fresh Market opened its doors Wednesday, August 19, at 1009 North H Street, moving into the former Big Lots shopping center next to Goodwill and Planet Fitness. If you live north of Central Avenue, your closest full grocery run just got a lot shorter.
This is the third store for the family-run Central Coast chain, joining locations in Santa Maria and Morro Bay. The family behind the markets has built the brand on a formula that should feel right at home here: a full-service deli counter, locally grown California produce, and a neighborhood-market feel that the big-box stores can't really match.
What to try first
Ask anyone who shops the Santa Maria store and they'll point you to the meat department. Spencer's blends its own Santa Maria-style tri-tip seasoning and partners with Harris Ranch for its beef. The chain is also known for firing up weekend tri-tip barbecues out front, which is about as Central Coast as a grocery store can get.
