Mama's Caffè — "Food for the Soul" — is Mama Caterina's breakfast-and-lunch café at 112 S. I St. in downtown Lompoc. After 45 years serving the community, she returned with her family for this newest adventure, in the same building as the family's La Botte Italian Restaurant. The café is open Wednesday through Sunday, 9am–2pm. Breakfast is served all day: croissant sandwiches, avocado toast, spinach and mushroom quiche, sausage and onion frittata, crepes with Nutella and orange marmalade, omelettes, pancakes, and French toast. The lunch side adds Italian touches — arancine, Mama's seafood frito misto, a Taste of Italy plate, and fresh salads. The café also takes catering inquiries and hosts cooking classes and events.
