Awaken is Lompoc's only women-only gym, at 113 W Ocean Ave downtown. Founded by trainer Bridgette Koenig, the studio runs cardio kickboxing, bootcamps, weight training and yoga-inspired classes, plus small-group and semi-private training designed to fit most fitness levels — the first class is free. Beyond kickboxing rounds on the bags, Awaken's team includes 200-hour certified yoga teachers focused on breathwork, mobility and trauma-informed movement, in a supportive space where, as the studio puts it, "the lioness is already in you."
