Start at the Lompoc Museum on South H Street and follow a one-mile loop most people drive right past. Eighteen stops, about an hour on foot, and the buildings do all the talking: a schoolhouse from 1876, a Victorian that was dragged into town by horses, a 1927 theatre, storefronts from the old sugar-beet days. Pick up the printed guide and set your own pace — no ticket, no tour group, no schedule. Old Town has been standing here since the 1870s. The walk is just the excuse to finally look up at it.
Grab the free printed Heritage Walk guide from the Lompoc Museum before you set out. Wear comfortable shoes, budget an hour, and go in morning light if you want clean photos of the old facades.
