Lompoc Library Accepting Artist Submissions for 2027-28 Grossman Gallery Exhibits

Local artists can submit work for display at the Grossman Gallery. The Art Advisory Committee will review pieces on September 17.

The Lompoc Public Library is inviting Central Coast artists to submit work for exhibit in the Grossman Gallery during the 2027-28 calendar years. Artists must provide at least six exhibit-ready pieces that will be evaluated for technique, expression and stylish achievement.

The library's Art Advisory Committee will review submissions on Thursday, September 17. Artists should deliver their framed or finished pieces to the Grossman Gallery at 501 E. North Ave. between 4:00 and 4:45 p.m. that day, then pick them up after the committee meeting ends at 5:45 p.m.

Exhibit Details and Requirements

Selected exhibits will run for one to two months at the Grossman Gallery, with a smaller continuation show the following month at the Village Library in Vandenberg Village at 3755 Constellation Road. The committee seeks a balanced selection of media, including two-dimensional painting, photography and mixed media. Work must not protrude more than six inches from the wall when hung.

Artists must be at least 18 years old and from the Central Coast area, though the committee may make exceptions to the age requirement. One and two-person shows are welcome. For more information, contact Sherrie Chavez at 805-757-1485 or Library Administration at 805-875-8787, or visit cityoflompoc.com/library.
