Historical Society Opens Historic 1875 Home for Special Reunion Saturday

The Lompoc Valley Historical Society invites the community to a free open house at the Fabing-McKay-Spanne House, the town's first two-story wooden residence.

The Lompoc Valley Historical Society is opening its doors for a special reunion open house this Saturday, offering neighbors a chance to step back into the town's earliest days. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the historic home on North L Street.

The Fabing-McKay-Spanne House holds a unique place in Lompoc's story. Built in 1875, it was the first two-story wooden residence constructed in the newly founded town. The home takes its name from the three families who lived there over the years, each contributing to the fabric of early Lompoc life.

Free Admission, Donations Welcome

Admission to the open house is free, and the Historical Society welcomes donations to help maintain the property. It's a chance to see a piece of living history and connect with others who care about preserving Lompoc's heritage.

The property is located at 207 N. L St. in Lompoc. For more local happenings, check out the events calendar.
