The Cabrillo Conquistadores varsity football team opened their season with two road losses in non-conference play. On August 21, Cabrillo fell to Burbank 38-0, followed by a 49-14 loss to Nipomo on September 11.
The Conquistadores now stand 0-2 heading into their next game. Cabrillo is scheduled to face Righetti of Santa Maria on September 17.
