The Shack Paintball runs two operations: a retail store on N H Street in Lompoc stocking paintball gear and supplies, and the only legal paintball field in Santa Barbara County. The field sits in the San Antonio Recreation Area on Grant Road near Vandenberg Space Force Base, a short drive from town. Players can sign waivers and book reservations online, and private weekday parties can be arranged by appointment. Gift cards are available, and military specials are a point of pride — fitting for a field in Vandenberg's backyard.
