Fiddlehead Cellars is the project of owner and winemaker Kathy Joseph, whose focus falls on Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Grüner Veltliner. The wines draw on fruit from her Fiddlestix vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills near Lompoc as well as vineyards in Oregon's Willamette Valley, joining admiration for Old World tradition with a New World sensibility. Tastings in the Lompoc area are offered by advance appointment, as are wine purchases and pickups — a fittingly personal setup for a winery built around one winemaker's vision.
