Lompoc invites volunteers for Make a Difference Day on Oct. 24

The City of Lompoc is inviting residents to join a day of community service on Saturday, Oct. 24, as part of Make a Difference Day, a national day dedicated to volunteerism.

Volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at Lompoc City Hall, located at 100 Civic Center Plaza. From there, groups will head to various project sites throughout the city to take part in service projects. The city says the event gives residents a chance to give back, connect with neighbors, and make a positive difference in the places where they live, work, and play.

A volunteer lunch will be provided at City Hall at noon. Community members interested in participating or seeking additional information can contact the City of Lompoc at 805-875-8100.
