The Lompoc Chamber of Commerce recognized Christopher Ladwig as Man of the Year, Susan Hott as Woman of the Year, and Eye on I restaurant as Small Business of the Year at Friday's banquet.
The Lompoc Chamber of Commerce celebrated local leaders Friday night at its annual awards banquet, themed "Rooted in Community, Growing Together." The event at the Dewees Center recognized three honorees for their contributions to the Lompoc Valley.
Christopher Ladwig, a science teacher at Cabrillo High School, received the Man of the Year award. Susan Hott was named Woman of the Year for her work as a pet foster parent, shelter volunteer, and organizer of Lompoc Pack Walks. Eye on I restaurant, owned and operated by Heather Hovey, took home the Small Business Award.
Community support made the evening possible
The chamber thanked sponsors Hancock College and U.S. Bank, along with local businesses that contributed to the event. La Botte provided food, while Camins 2 Dreams, Loring Wine Company, and Allan Hancock Vineyard supplied wine. Bella Florist created the floral arrangements.
"We are honored to recognize the incredible people and businesses who make our valley such a special place to call home," the chamber said after the event. The banquet also acknowledged other nominees and celebrated the broader community that helps shape the Lompoc Valley. For more on local businesses making a difference, visit our business directory.
