Healthy Lompoc Coalition marks 20 years of community health work
Community leaders gathered at Rancho Las Lomitas to celebrate two decades of the Healthy Lompoc Coalition's efforts to improve health and well-being across the Lompoc Valley.
The Healthy Lompoc Coalition celebrated 20 years of community health work Thursday at Rancho Las Lomitas, bringing together the partners and residents who have shaped its mission across two decades.
Hosted by the Lompoc Valley Community Healthcare Organization, the anniversary event highlighted the coalition's collaboration among local organizations, community leaders and residents focused on improving health and well-being in the Lompoc Valley.
Recognizing local leaders
The program featured reflections on the coalition's past, present and future, with perspectives from community partners. Organizers recognized three individuals for their longstanding partnership, leadership and service: Fidel Villanueva of the Santa Barbara County Health Department, Heather Woolsey, senior director of philanthropy and marketing at Lompoc Valley Medical Center, and Maribel Landeros, IPS program supervisor with the Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness and a Lompoc Valley Community Healthcare Organization board member.
