Cabrillo football stands 1-5 heading into league opener against Morro Bay
The Conquistadores picked up their lone win against Hoover in late August and will begin league play Friday at home.
The Cabrillo Conquistadores varsity football team carries a 1-5 record into league play after dropping their latest contest 12-42 at Paso Robles on September 25.
Cabrillo's lone victory came at home on August 28, when the Conquistadores defeated Hoover 36-21 at Huyck Stadium. The team opened the season with a 0-38 loss at Burbank on August 21, then fell 2-38 to Lompoc at home on September 4. Road losses followed at Nipomo (14-49) on September 11, and the Conquistadores dropped a home game to Righetti 14-42 on September 17 before last week's trip to Paso Robles.
League Play Begins Friday
The Conquistadores will open league competition on Friday, October 2, hosting Morro Bay at 7:00 PM at Huyck Stadium on West College Avenue. For more local sports coverage, visit /news.
