Cabrillo football stands 1-4 after five games
The Conquistadores picked up their lone win against Hoover but have dropped four contests heading into their Sept. 25 trip to Paso Robles.
The Cabrillo Conquistadores varsity football team holds a 1-4 record through the first five games of the 2026 season. The Conquistadores opened with a road loss to Burbank on Aug. 21, falling 0-38, then bounced back with a 36-21 home victory over Hoover on Aug. 28 at Huyck Stadium.
Cabrillo then dropped three straight games. They lost 2-38 to Lompoc at home on Sept. 4, fell 14-49 at Nipomo on Sept. 11, and most recently took a 14-42 defeat against Righetti at Huyck Stadium on Sept. 17.
League play on the horizon
The Conquistadores travel to Paso Robles for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on Friday, Sept. 25. League play is set to begin Oct. 2 when Cabrillo hosts Morro Bay. For more local high school sports coverage, visit /news.
